Resident bookmaking expert Tony Caliente takes a look at the line on the Jaguars-Patriots AFC Championship game and assesses what that number should be based on the NFL Betting Power Rating.

Action on this game was coming in at 60/40 in favor of New England as of Friday morning with a line of -7.5.

The line has been drifting downwards with what appears to be a move to get more action on the Pats spread.

The NFL Betting Power Ratings suggest that the line should be -9 and it is interesting to note that the books at one point earlier in the week held the line around -9/-9.5 before bringing it downward.

While bookies would love to see an upset here based on the amount of futures that have come in on New England, not to mention they are once again dominating Against The Spread, that's probably wishful thinking as the Pats should be able to cover.
