Here were your latest World Series of Poker updates coming in at 5:45 pm PST.
Tom Schneider had taken over the top spot with 2,900,000 chips. He has nearly $900,000 in live tournament wins to date and 2 World Series of Poker bracelets.
Matt Afleck continued to make news as the 2nd biggest chip leader. James Ackenhead also remained in the thick of things.
From there, everyone was pretty new to the Top 10 including Warren Zackey, Ben Lamb, Charlie Elias, Bernhard Perner, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, Tian Shou, Julien Brecard and Steven Begleiter, none of whom are very well known.
Phil Ivey took at tumble out of the top 15 today but was still going strong.
With only 225 players left, Ivey was still a little over 800k.
Other strong notable players included Eric Cloutier with more than 1.1 million chips, Joe Sebok with over a million, David Benyamine and Theo Tran, all ahead of Ivey.
Peter Eastgate was still in with over 600K in chips. Also in were Dennis Phillips, actor (and only celebrity still playing) and Lou Diamond Phillips.
Phil Hellmuth, spokesperson for www.ultimatebet.com was ousted yesterday.
