Winter Olympics Men's Biathalon Odds - 10KM, 12.5KM Sprint, 4x7.5km Relay, More
Martin Fourcade was coming in near the EVEN odds co-favorite in the Biathlon 10km Sprint, 12.5km Pursuit, 20km Individual and 20km Individual.
Fourcade is an eleven-time World Champion, twice an Olympic champion and a six-time winner of the Overall World Cup.
He is being billed as "the man who can ruin Norway's winter".
Fourcade's France was coming in at 3/1 odds of winning the 4x7.5km Relay, behind only Norway (2/1). Germany was also at 3/1 odds.
But the Men's Biathlon is expected to be a rivalry between Fourcade and a handful of Norway Winter Olympics qualifiers, including co-favorite to win in most of these events, Johannes Boe.
Fourcade, 29, has been the sport’s most dominate competitor since the 2011-12 season, when he won the first of six straight World Cup total score championships. He will certainly have his work cut out against the Norwegian competition.
They have merely 5.3 million citizens yet a global all-time lead with 329 winter medals, making them a medals-per-capita Godzilla, Chuck Culpepper of the Washington Post writes of the mighty Norwegian athletes.
