La Liga is entering into the eSports space for the first time while Barcelona has just announced its new eSports team.
Barcelona say they will be involved in 'several electronic sports projects' in which football will be a primary focus and some of their current sponsors have expressed a keen interest in joining them.
The league's esport projects will roll out over the coming months, initially in Spain before spreading to an international audience.
