Authorities in Las Vegas have been on the lookout for an African American man who is accused of stealing $23,367 from a casino cage at the New York-New York Hotel & Casino on Jan. 10. But that African American man turned out to be a Caucasian in black face.
Cameron James Kennedy, 26, was charged this past Monday in federal court for one count of interference with commerce by robbery.
At the time of the robbery, Kennedy was under federal supervision for a bank robbery and required to wear a GPS device but cut it off three hours prior to the robbery.
Despite Cameron's attempt to hide his real identity, the cashier told police she believed the robber was really white due to the blotchiness of his skin.
