Three Great eSports Investments

TheStreet.com lists three great eSports investments for the technology savvy retiree


NOW ACCEPTING OVER 60 CRYPTOCURRENCIES

They name off Activision Blizzard, Tencent Holdings and Nvidia.  Books will be offering odds on each of these forces in the world of eSports, which TheStreet estimates will rake in $1.65 billion by 2021. 

Activision's eSports Overwatch League could contribute between $75 million and $100 million to Activision's revenue in 2018, according to TheStreet.  Overwatch matchups are among the most wagered on in eSports today.

Tencent Holdings (TCEHY) is the developer behind League of Legends, the most-watched eSports game in the world, another heavily wagered on eSports stalwart.  Growth here was at 40% with Tencent launching a competitive-gaming television channel in China and has committed $15 billion to fund it over the next five years.

Nvidia designs graphics processing units (GPUs) for the gaming and professional markets, as well as system on a chip units (SoCs) for the mobile computing and automotive market.   Its eSports division accounts for more than half the sales.
