The St. Louis Cardinals have gone from -187 to -220 at some books and were seeing better than 80% of the action in this game.  Some books still had St. Louis at -200.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Marlins LH Wei-Yin Chen (1-3, 6.10 ERA) vs. Cardinals RH Jack Flaherty (2-1, 2.62)

Chen has put together several solid outings for the Marlins but had a poor showing in his last start.  Chen’s only start against the Cardinals came in 2016, when he allowed four runs over six innings in a no-decision.

Flaherty is coming off his worst start of the season after allowing four runs (three earned) in five innings in a no-decision against Pittsburgh. Flaherty has racked up 36 strikeouts against nine walks in 34 1/3 innings.  Tough to see him with two consecutive bad showings.

The Marlins are 1-8 in their last 9 games vs. a right-handed starter and 3-10 in their last 13 vs. National League Central.

The Cardinals, on the other hand, are 14-3 in their last 17 home games vs. a left-handed starter.

We've put up so many big dogs that it can afford us a high priced favorite on St. Louis tonight at -200 as the books have signalled they like the Cards here.
