Bitcoin Sportsbook Increases Limits for World Cup

The bitcoin-only online sportsbook Cloudbet has announced a generous increase in bet limits for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

These are some hefty limits.  Cloudbet is accepting wagers of up to 20BTC/140BCH on the World Cup Group and Knockout Stages, with limits rising to 100BTC/700BCH for the final in Moscow on July 15th [almost €600,000 at today’s exchange rate]. These are higher limits than the vast majority of established online sportsbooks.

This is the first World Cup that will feature widespread wagering with bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. The online gambling sector has only embraced bitcoin over the past three years.

One can deposit and get paid using their bitcoin wallet and linking to both the online gambling site and an exchange.
