Independence Day is July 4 in the United States, better known as simply The Fourth of July. For gamblers the world over the 4th represents the biggest competitive food eating contest of the year, the Nathans Hot Dog Eating Contest, and, yes, you can bet on it.
As is always the case, Joey Chestnut is a big favorite, this time at -500.
One can find better value wagering on the OVER/UNDER total number of hot dogs to be eaten by Chestnut (set at 70.5)
Mike Sudo OVER/UNDER number of hot dogs eaten odds were also available. She is the female contestant, who was also coming in at -500 as the female to eat the most hot dogs.
Bets must be placed prior to 10:50 am EDT for the Woman's competition and Noon EDT for the Men's.
