These ten gentlemen round out your top ten list going into the weekend. There are however, some very big names on the honorable mention list and it would behoove every smart bettor to take a look. Jordan Spieth is tied for 11th at -3, and Ricki Fowler is also tied for 11th at -3.  Jason Day, Phil Mickelson, and Tiger Woods are all three, tied for the 29th position at even par.

Golf Betting – Winning Golf with Head to Head Matchups

Consider this: The 29th spot may sound like a very long ways down the leaderboard and for all intent and purpose, it is. But in this case and in this tournament, anything can happen. The biggest mistake that could be made would be to count out Tiger, or Phil for that matter. Do not count either one of these guys out and certainly don’t count out Spieth and Fowler. They are all proud golfers and they go into every tournament wanting to win.

Tiger Woods would be the mystery man here and there is no getting around the face that he has played good golf of late and has seed to get back on track. He is certainly not the old Tiger Woods but fear him anyways. He is Tiger Woods and that says enough in and of itself. If and when Woods finds a groove, watch out. Six strokes are not that many for either Tiger or Phil.

Observation: Phil has lost a step and even in the mental aspect of golf, he seems to have somewhat lost it. He is playing weird golf and he just might not win another big tournament in his career! We are not saying that he is done completely but we are saying a major and even a big time tournament looks like a very long ways away for this once outstanding gunslinger on the fairways.

The rest of this tournament is going to be fun to watch and a lot of fun to bet some individual matchups. Make sure that your sportsbook offers the matchups and get rolling while the odds are still favorable. Even Tiger Woods is tempting at 22/1. Why not throw a ten or twenty spot and have fun watching how this plays out?
