With the US Supreme Court abolishing sports betting prohibition back in May of 2018, everybody wants to be a bookie.  And now they can, with state-of-the-art sports betting software that is available to Georgia and Alabama residents

Don't expect regulated sports betting to come along any time soon.  For now, gamblers must rely on local bookies using dedicated software and/or offshore sportsbooks.

Georgia is completely against gambling while Alabama may be a bit more tolerant but is also among the more conservative leaning against gambling.  These are likely among the last states that will ever adapt sports betting, maybe just ahead of Hawaii and Utah, the only two states that do not even offer a lottery.

Of course all of this is good news for bookmakers in the region.  In theory at least, folks won't have any other avenue in which to place a wager.

Because of the Supreme Court decision, sports wagering will be more mainstream and those in both Georgia and Alabama are still exposed to the likes of DraftKings and FanDuel courtesy of national commercials and arena/stadium sponsorships.  Folks will be itching to place a bet.  Bookies and agents using modern Pay Per Head software can provide them with an outlet.

Advantages to Using Pay Per Head Software

LIVE IN-PLAY BETTING in particular is an option the independent corner bookie simply cannot offer on his or her own.  Likewise, it is doubtful any of the casinos will be permitted to offer this product.

You Only Pay for What You Use

The advantage of using a PPH Sportsbook service is that you only pay for your active players.  An active player is defined as a bettor that has placed at least one bet in a given period of time. This means that if during one week you have 7 out of 10 players that placed a bet, you only pay for 7 players and not 10.
