Pay Per Head Agents No Fear Over NJ Sports Betting
Despite the state of New Jersey going all in with legalized sports betting, Pay Per Head agents and bookies alike say 'Bring it on".
Willy, a local bookmaker in Northern New Jersey who wishes to have his true identity concealed, tells Gambling911.com business has never been better and he's seeing an increase in customers, more so than in past years at this time. He credits the surge in local advertisements for legal sports books in the New York City market, which includes the northern half of NJ.
"The ads are just starting but already I'm seeing more referrals," Willy tells Gambling911.com. "People want to bet sports but they don't want the government prying in their business. They still want to stay anonymous. You don't get that with DraftKings."
Willy made reference to the popular daily fantasy sports provider that recently immersed itself in the world of legalized sports wagering. DraftKings officially released its sports betting app this week. Only those within New Jersey's borders can place bets.
"I can get my guys better Baseball lines," he said.
Since its initial test phase sports bettors noticed the dismal comparisons between DraftKings Baseball lines and that of the offshore establishments.
"Anyone serious about sports betting will move off that app and come to me. DraftKings acts as a good gateway and it's great for the Farmville crowd that bet $5 a week."
Willy and others like him pay under $10 a week per customer to place bets via a software solution and outsourcing company. The overhead for local bookies is nominal to non-existent while bitcoin all but eliminated the need to physically collect on losses and payout on winnings.
"My job now is to chat up with guys and make sure they're happy. I can do this from the beach. Five years ago I need ten arms and a lot of Alka Seltzer."
On its site, PayPerHeadAgents.com writes:
Take your sportsbook to another level with pro-level pay per head services. It doesn't matter if you only have ten players or a thousand, PayPerHeadAgents' online bookie software and sportsbook services will help you blow away the competition and bump you into a higher bracket.
Bringing sports gambling into the mainstream has many folks who never even dreamt of becoming a bookmaker seeing dollar signs with the potential.
A guy may have just ten buddies he wants to bring on board to make a little extra dough. The LIVE IN-PLAY WAGERING feature in particular helps boost profit potential.
For New York City and Southwest Connecticut area bookmakers already in operation, the free advertising is a dream come true.
Julius, a bookmaker and fan of Gambling911.com who operates out of Brooklyn, celebrated the legalization of sports wagering in the U.S.
"It's going to be one big cluster f***," he laughed. "New York might legalize after the Super Bowl but my players aren't heading upstate to the casinos every day. That online app from DraftKings can only be accessed in New Jersey and my players aren't going there either and the app I'm hearing it sucks. The ads on television will play here in Brooklyn and New York because these (television) stations cover half of Jersey so everyone is gonna want to do it but won't be able to without locals. I'ts a total s*** show. We're the one's who are gonna benefit."
Julius points to horse racing as an example of the future of sports wagering in the U.S.
"The horse racing sites have always been legal since I started and I still take lots of horse bets on my end. Guys don't want their tax s*** being submitted to the IRS by these companies."
