The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) approved the transfer of Presque Isle’s Category 1 Slot Machine License from previous owner Eldorado Resorts to Churchill Downs Incorporated (CDI) for $3.75 million.

CDI has also applied for licenses to offer online slots and online table games.  They are expected to offer sports wagering as well, however, online poker will not be a part of the arrangement.  Currenly online gambling is only accessible to Pennsylvania residents via internationally-licensed online gambling websites.

Churchill Downs was among the very first online gambling sites to operate out of the USA via Twinspires.com, which offers betting on horse races.

CDI now has casino interests in seven eastern states.
