Soldier Jon Heywood has made headlines recently for what Guinness World Records has confirmed as the biggest win in online slot history. Playing the popular Mega Moolah slot game, Heywood not only set a world record, but he also did so in what is most likely record time.
A mere 25 minutes after opening his account with Betway, Heywood won big on the Mega Moolah slots, though mistakenly believed he had collected somewhere in the area of ten thousand pounds. On closer inspection, however, it turns out his winnings measured a total of £13,213,838.68.
Already an enthusiast in the world of online gambling, Heywood had gone in as a way to relax, spending his downtime unwinding before he started his shift the next day. Not immediately grasping the scope of his win, or perhaps believing it to be some sort of elaborate prank, he showed up to work the next day and put in the hours as usual. Heywood claims it was some time before he really came to grips with the life-changing win, and he still wakes up some mornings believing his win was too good to be true.
These days, Heywood has quit his career in the military, putting his money to work for him in the world of real estate. On top of this, he helps his friends and parents, and with a new child on the way, he prepares himself for the somewhat lessened stresses of fatherhood.
Despite going down in the history books, friends and family of Heywood = still paint him as humble and honest, not one to give into the extravagance which this money could easily bring. Whatever the case for the future, Jon and his family are now set for life.
