The Auburn Tigers have terrific odds of winning both the 2008 SEC Conference title and the 2009 BCS Championship.
Their SEC odds were set at +250 for a payout potential of $250 for every $100 bet. Their 2009 BCS hopes would pay out $2000 for every $100 bet at SBG Global
The buzz in Auburn is all about straight-shooting offensive coordinator Tony Franklin, who raised the expectations of fans when he showed up last December and produced a season-best 423 yards and an eye-popping 90 plays in beating Clemson in the Chick-fil-A Bowl, AthlonSports.com points out.
The Tigers desperately want their offense to catch up with their defense. The fiery Will Muschamp became something of a YouTube celebrity as Auburn's defensive coordinator before heading off to Texas. Don't worry. New coordinator Paul Rhoads is just as intense, very much old school and doesn't mind keeping his players after school.

Things would seem to be going Auburn's way heading into the 2008 season. The Tigers are coming off an impressive bowl win over Clemson and have one of the conference's most veteran teams. At the same time, Auburn is undergoing a big change on the sidelines, on both sides of the ball. Paul Rhoads replaces Will Muschamp as defensive coordinator, while Tony Franklin gets the reins as offensive coordinator after an impressive debut in the bowl game. How much those changes affect Auburn beyond a single game will determine how well the Tigers finish. That, and the issue of quarterback - while the Tigers have at least two options there, no one is a proven commodity.
