The 8-6 Philadelphia 76ers are 5-9 Against The Spread and a dismal 1-6 ATS on the road this season.  It gets worse: The 76ers are 1-9 ATS in their last 10 road games. They'll come into Miami as a +2.5 dog.

Saturday morning, the 76ers had 22-1 odds (+2200) to win the NBA title. After the Butler news broke, oddsmakers moved the Sixers' odds to 15-1 (+1500).

Philly remains behind Boston and Toronto to win the Finals and the Eastern Conference.

The experts agree on Philly's chances now that Butler has arrived.

From ESPN.com: “A team that has been sculpting an identity around its young core of prospects accumulated over years of rebuilding ultimately cashed in some of those assets on Saturday for a top-shelf wing in Jimmy Butler. The Sixers effectively traded two reliable starters for one star, and the departure of Robert Covington and Dario Saric means the end of last season's most successful regular-season NBA lineup. But the acquisition also portends likely improvement for the 76ers' offense, which ranks 21st in the league headed into the week.”

As for Monday's game, the 76ers have won the last three against Miami including two of the away games.  They have won four of the last five vs. the Heat.

The public has made Philadelphia the most wagered on side in the NBA Monday.  They were seeing 60% of the action on the spread.

The books were bringing the number back down towards -2 by Monday afternoon.
