The College Football betting frenzy was in full force for the start of the 2009 season with the following teams getting most of the heavy public action at Bookmaker.com early on:

                  ILLINOIS

Game: MISSOURI @ ILLINOIS

                        GEORGIA

Game: GEORGIA @ OKLAHOMA ST

                        NEVADA

Game: NEVADA @ NOTRE DAME

                        ALABAMA

Game: VIRGINIA TECH @ ALABAMA

                        OKLAHOMA

Game: BYU @ OKLAHOMA

                        LSU

Game: LSU @ WASH U

                        TEXAS A&M

Game: NEW MEXICO @ TEXAS A&M

                        NY YANKEES

Game: NY YANKEES @ TOR B-JAYS

                        UTEP

Game: BUFFALO U @ UTEP

We should note that Minnesota was the most bet on team prior to kick off at 12:30 pm EST.

Illinois was getting the most public action of the day and might end up being the most bet on team when Saturday comes to a close.  Nearly 90 percent of the action was going towards the Fighting Illini.

While Alabama was getting plenty of action, this game was less lopsided with the Crimson Tide getting around 65 percent of the public love.

Georgia vs. Oklahoma State was getting mostly even action on the spread at many online sportsbooks but an outright win by the Bulldogs would be huge for sports bettors since nearly 90 percent were on the +170 moneyline, which would pay out $17 for every $10 bet.

Nevada was getting heavy College Football betting action from sharps.

Around 70 percent of the action was going Oklahoma's way despite a -23 point line and this was a heavily bet on game even though it was going off this evening.
