College Bowl Games/NBA Parlay
Saturday, Dec. 29
Belk Bowl – South Carolina -5.5 vs #22 Virginia
NBA – Houston Rockets at New Orleans Pelicans
NBA – Boston Celtics at Memphis Grizzlies
NBA – Golden State Warriors at Portland Trailblazers
The Belk Bowl might be one of the toughest to handicap games in any sport this weekend. Although Virginia’s ranked, South Carolina’s favored.
No sports bettors should have a real idea if UVA can cover, or if the Gamecocks will win and cover.
All 3 NBA games listed above could be difficult to handicap. The Rockets have been on fire winning games, but they haven’t been covering in every game they’ve won.
The Pelicans, like most teams in the NBA, play better at home than on the road.
Golden State’s always over bet no matter where they play, on the road or at home. Boston’s one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference.
Can they beat or cover versus a good Western Conference team on the road?
NFL Week 17 Parlay
Sunday, Dec. 30
New York Jets at New England Patriots -13.5
Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants -6
Chicago Bears at Minnesota Vikings -5
San Francisco 49ers at L.A. Rams -10
If Patriots win, they gain the second seed in the playoffs. Patriots almost never cover against the Jets, though.
Motivation could get them to cover—it might not.
Dallas will rest their starters, but can the Giants beat any opponent by 6 points. That’s a legitimate question since NYG might want to rest some of their starters in a meaningless game.
Minnesota must beat the Bears to make the playoffs. There’s no guarantee they do that. Chicago beat Minnesota a few weeks ago and it wasn’t close.
The Rams are great at winning games. They’re not so great at covering spreads.
Will they win and cover -10 points against a motivated Arizona squad?
One that would like to end the season on a winning note?
NFL Week 17/NBA Parlay
Sunday, Dec. 30
New York Jets at New England Patriots -13.5
San Francisco 49ers at L.A. Rams -10
NBA - Oklahoma City Thunder at Dallas Mavericks
NBA – Philadelphia 76ers at Portland Trailblazers
Adding the Jets at Patriots and 49ers at Rams to the NFL Week 17/NBA Parlay makes sense because neither favorite has been great against the spread in recent weeks.
Oklahoma City faces a tall order against Dallas on Sunday. The Thunder could be favored. Even if they aren’t, that’s a tough basketball game to handicap.
Pay per head agents should also make sure to add 76ers, one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference, at the Portland Trailblazers.
The Blazers are great at home. They face a tough team on Sunday.
