NBA – San Antonio Spurs at New Orleans Pelicans, Golden State Warriors at Boston Celtics, Philadelphia 76ers at Denver Nuggets

Spurs at Pelicans should be a ridiculously tough game to handicap. The Spurs have played great basketball, but New Orleans will have the best player on the court in Anthony Davis.

Golden State could be favored over Boston. Some will look at this game as a preview of the NBA Championship this summer.

Will the Warriors cover as road favorites versus one of the best in the Eastern Conference?

Philadelphia is one of the top teams in the East. The Denver Nuggets are one of the best teams in the West. Like Spurs at Pelicans, 76ers at Nuggets should also be a crazy difficult to handicap matchup.

NHL All-Star Game – 3-on-3 Elimination Tournament

The NHL All-Star Game is really a 3-on-3 elimination tournament where players from the Central and Pacific duke it out in one game and players from the Atlantic and Metropolitan duke it out in another game.

The winners of the first two games face-off in the 20 minute third game for the NHL All-Star Game trophy.

Talk about difficult to handicap, right?

NCAAB – Georgia Tech at #2 Duke, #25 Iowa State at #20 Ole Miss, #10 Kansas at #9 Kentucky

Duke should win, but will they cover as a massive favorite? Iowa State at Ole Miss is a toss-up. So is Kansas at Kentucky.

Sunday, Jan. 27

NBA – Milwaukee Bucks at Oklahoma City Thunder, Toronto Raptors at Dallas Mavericks, Washington Wizards at San Antonio Spurs

The Bucks have the overall best record in the NBA. Although that’s true, will they be good enough to beat Russell and PG-13 on the road?

Toronto is a great basketball team, but Dallas has superstar rookie Luka Doncic. Can the Raptors cover as a road favorite?

The Wizards take on the Spurs a day after the Spurs must deal with the Pelicans and Davis. San Antonio might be too tired to cover…or not

NCAAB – Georgetown at St. John’s #5 Michigan State at Purdue, Seton Hall at #18 Villanova

Neither Georgetown nor St. John’s is ranked. No worries.

Hoyas versus Red Storm is one of the great rivalries in college basketball. Both teams are going to lay it all on the line.

Michigan State’s ranked but Purdue has really turned it on lately. The Spartans aren’t a lock. Neither are the Villanova Wildcats. Seton Hall can upset Nova on the moneyline.

Remember that whatever games online bookies choose to put into any promoted parlays, they’re in addition to the NFL Pro Bowl on Sunday.

Odds for the Pro Bowl should come out no later than Friday, Jan. 25.
