Even when a team is winning outright, this doesn't necessarily mean they are covering the spread.  Gambling911.com looks at recent game performance for specific teams to see who is winning out - the bookie or the bettor.  Here we look at the Philadelphia Sixers as of February 23.

The 76ers are now the hottest ticket in the NBA in terms of overall sales for games.  They are 38-21 Straight Up but the books are making mint off of Philadelphia with their 28-31 record Against The Spread.  The 76ers are ranked a 5 in their last ten overall, covering the spread in five of those ten.

They were seeing 60% of the spread action Saturday against Portland.  The home team has won eight straight in this series with Philadelphia just a -2.5 favorite.  While three of the last four Philadelphia home games in this series were blowouts, another was a mere 1-point victory.

On a neutral court, Sagarin has Portland rated slightly better than Philadelphia.  This line appeared to be right on the money.

The Trailblazers rank a 6 in covering the spread over their last ten.
