2009 Emmy Awards Betting Odds Announced

Prop Betting fans at betED.com are moving the lines for this weekend's 61st Emmy Awards show as that online betting firm has published its 2009 Emmy Awards betting odds. 

Always one of the most popular of all Entertainment Prop Bets, the annual Emmys have been generating lots of betting action since betED.com posted lines in July.

NBC's hit comedy 30 Rock leads with 22 nominations, followed by AMC's drama Mad Men, which boasts 16.

30 Rock opened as a +125 favorite to win the Best Comedy Series Award in Entertainment Prop Betting Odds at betED.com, and is now down to -515.

FOX's Family Guy, the first animated series to be nominated for a Best Comedy Emmy since 1961, was at +200 when betting opened, but is now up to +400, while NBC's The Office remains steady at +200.

Other comedy movers include Showtime's Weeds, from +250 to +300, and HBO's Entourage from +350 to +375.

Mad Men, created by former The Sopranos' writer Matthew Weiner and set in a 1960s New York advertising agency, opened as a +175 favorite to win the Best Drama Series award, but has been bet down to -215.

It's followed by FX's Damages at +225 and AMC's Breaking Bad at +250.

FOX's House (+275), HBO's Big Love (+325), ABC's Lost (+425), and Showtime's Dexter (+400) are the other Best Drama nominees.

Other categories include Best Reality Show, with favorite Dancing with the Stars getting lots of attention at betED.com. DWTS opened at +150 and is now at -110, followed by The Amazing Race at +115 and Project Runway at +250. American Idol is last at +400

In the Best Variety, Music or Comedy show category, Saturday Night Live opened as the favorite at +100, but is now back at +125, along with The Colbert Report at +125.

The Daily Show with Jon Stewart is the new favorite at -110.

The Emmy Awards, which will be hosted by nominee Neil Patrick Harris, will be broadcast live on CBS on Sept. 20.
