The verdict is in and the New England Patriots vs. New York Jets odds are the second most in demand of any other NFL odds thus far.

Of course the betting action is quite lopsided with New England getting just about 90 percent backing in this one.  Almost the same amount of people are betting the money line, which surprisingly has decent value (bet just under $20 to win $10.  You get back the $10 in addition to any winnings if New England wins outright).  BetUS.com offered the line of New England -3 ½.

In his first regular-season game, Mark Sanchez was sensational against the Texans as the Jets newest quarterback. The rival Patriots will present a tougher challenge, but Sanchez will have the advantage of playing before a home crowd that has taken to the former USC star.

As far as this game goes, the home team is not necessarily favored in the trends as they have only gone 3-7 over the last 10 games in this series.  The good news for the Jets is that they won their last game against New England, on the road no less. The four games prior to this one were blowouts courtesy of the Pats.

The Jets should play hard.  Their schedule is brutal over the next couple of weeks with games against the Titans at home and road games in New Orleans and Miami.

The AccuScore Analysis:

The Patriots defense could not stop Fred Jackson in Week 1. Thomas Jones and Leon Washington are also skilled RBs who could be greater threats as receivers in Week 2. When the Jets win Thomas Jones and Leon Washington average over 170 combined rushing and receiving yards. Tom Brady should star again in Week 2. if Brady has 2+ TD passes with no more than 1 interception then the Patriots have a 75 percent chance of winning.

The Patriots are 10-2 ATS in their last 12 games as a road favorite of 3.5-10.0.

The Jets are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games as an underdog of 3.5-10.0.

Bottom line is that this game can go either way.  You can bet on it at BetUS.com.  Ask about their FREE CASH BONUSES when opening an online sports betting account with your credit card.
