Mariners vs. Royals

The Mariners are once again getting some lopsided action in this matchup.  75% of the moneyline action is on Seattle, a team that's gone 10-2 thus far.

The line on this game is -110 after opening at -120.  There is obvious value but we had the direction this line is moving as books once again are encouraging action on the Mariners.

Seattle does own this series of late, winning the last six.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Mariners LH Marco Gonzales (3-0, 3.20 ERA) vs. Royals RH Jakob Junis (1-0, 4.63)

Gonzales looks to extend his season-opening winning streak to four starts as he comes off his most impressive outing to date. The 27-year-old native of Colorado came within two outs of a complete game against the Los Angeles Angels last Tuesday, when he allowed just one run and four hits with one walk and three strikeouts. Gonzales has made three career starts versus Kansas City, going 1-1 with his lone complete game in the major leagues and a 5.87 ERA.

Junis surrendered three runs and six hits over six innings at Detroit on Thursday but did not factor in the decision. The 26-year-old from Illinois registered eight strikeouts in the outing, increasing his total to 14 in two turns against only four walks. Junis won both of his previous career starts against Seattle, allowing one run and five hits with two walks and 10 strikeouts over 15 frames.
