The Astros got a single from Yuli Gurriel with no outs in the eighth before back-to-back walks to Robinson Chirinos and Tony Kemp loaded the bases with one out.

George Springer then sent a ball down the third base line and into the left field corner, scoring Gurriel and Chirinos to make it 5-3.

Kemp would have scored on the play, too, but he tripped and fell coming around third base and had to return to the bag with a dive to narrowly avoid a tag.

It didn't matter much, though, as Kemp scored on a sacrifice fly by Altuve to push the lead to 6-3.

This sealed it as we lost that UNDER by a run.

Today's most bet on sides are early games.

Indians vs. Tigers

This one starts just after 1 pm EST.

The Indians are seeing better than 70% of the money line action at some books.

That line was dropping from -147 to -127, then during the 10 am to 11 am hour rose back to -147.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Indians RH Trevor Bauer (1-0, 0.64 ERA) vs. Tigers LH Matthew Boyd (0-1, 3.18)

Bauer has allowed one hit in 14 innings and pitched seven no-hit frames in his last turn before being removed.

Bauer held opposing batters to a .208 average last season and his strong start has lowered that mark to .024 through his first two outings. The 28-year-old has struck out 17 and walked seven and owns a stellar 0.57 WHIP. Bauer is 8-5 in 16 career appearances (15 starts) against the Tigers but has a high 5.63 ERA and has served up 12 homers, though Miguel Cabrera (10-for-29) has taken him deep just once.

Boyd has struck out a whopping 23 batters over 11 1/3 innings while allowing just four earned runs. The 28-year-old struck out a career-best 13 in 6 1/3 innings against the New York Yankees in his last turn but received a no-decision despite giving up just one run and five hits across 6 1/3 innings. Boyd is 1-3 with a 3.09 ERA in eight career appearances (seven starts) against the Indians.

These teams have split wins and losses over their last six meetings, though Cleveland was dominant in the overall series prior to this period.

Cleveland is actually 44-17 in the last 61 meetings.

Cleveland is 7-3 thus far while Detroit is 7-4.

The Indians have won their last five games and are looking for a 6th consecutive victory in Detroit early Wednesday afternoon.

The Tigers are 5-1 in their last six games.

The Tigers are 5-0 in Boyd’s last 5 home starts.
