Doyle Brunson Silenced in Europe
The unofficial mouthpiece for online poker via his uber popular Twitter page, Doyle Brunson, has advised he will remain incognito for the next several weeks while venturing throughout Europe.
His "Lips Are Sealed" Tour kicked off in Budapest where Doyle took part in a heated discussion on the state of online gambling affiliates, many of whom are being systematically shut out by websites claiming "they are no longer needed".
Not Doyle. He wants these affiliates to know his poker room, DoylesRoom.com, has their back. DoylesRoom continues to improve its affiliate program.
This month, the online poker room has offered a more enticing reason to play. They announced qualifiers for those wanting to take part in the World Poker Tour's Doyle Brunson Five Diamond World Poker Classic later this year.
Taking place at the Bellagio in Las Vegas from December 13 to 19, the Doyle Brunson Five Diamond World Poker Classic has a buy-in of $15,400 but DoylesRoom.com players can win their seat for as little as 22 cents from now until December 4. Last year's event featured a $9.6 million prize pool while the winner walked away with a $2.4 million prize.
In addition, winning players will also receive the Doyle Brunson's Vegas Experience prize, which entitles them to spend the weekend before the tournament with the man himself living the dream on the Las Vegas Strip. The package includes access to the hottest clubs, restaurants and bars alongside tickets to a show, dinner with Brunson and VIP treatment.
Sorry to all you female qualifiers. Doyle is a happily married man whose wife we know misses him while he's away in Europe.
