Wright Wages War on Twitter Trolls

Perhaps taking a chapter from the Devin Nunes' Cow handbook on "How to Deal With Twitter Trolls", it was revealed that Satoshi Vision (BSV) founder Dr. Craig Wright had has filed legal papers against Adam Back, CEO of Blockstream, for defamation and libel.

Dr. Wright insists he is the real "Satoshi Nakamoto" and true creator of Bitcoin, a claim that has been challenged by some in the cryptocurrency community.

It was a topic discussed recently in a Gambling911.com podcast with NChain CEO Jimmy Nguyen

For his part, Back is accused of publishing "fake proofs" and forgeries while also alluding to the idea that Wright had committed tax fraud.

From CoinGeek.com:

Wright’s legal team’s request is simple and exactly what he’s requested of his other harassers. Back merely has to retract his statements, not make them again, apologize and acknowledge the statements were false. If Back doesn’t comply, Wright will be happy to take him to court.

Ayre Group founder and BSV backer Calvin Ayre took things one step further on Tuesday via this tweet:

The Trolling of Craig and now this market manipulation media stunt against real #Bitcoin #BSV in retaliation for his wanting to prove his position in court, are both aimed at one thing...censoring Dr Craig Wright. What is it that Craig knows that they are all so afraid of?

Ayre also seemed to imply that other individuals tweeting on the social media platform could also be faced with legal ramifications.

All the trolls attacking Craig should be happy to clear their name. They are standing accused of illegal cyber bullying. I don't understand why they are not happy to get a chance to prove their positions in court? More coming today :-)

Such an effort would not be without recent precedence.

Last month, California Republican Representative Devin Nunes filed a $250 million lawsuit against two Twitter parody accounts as well as the social media platform itself.

From Vox:

Nunes said in an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity that rather than being an example of excessive litigiousness, his complaint is intended to be “the first of many” such lawsuits against social media platforms. He argued that Twitter is the “main proliferator” of “slanderous” news and even added that he considered his lawsuit part of the Russia investigation.

One of the Twitter parody accounts purported to be Devin Nunes' mom, the other, his cow.
