Gambling911.com has decided to pull the trigger on the Mets +106 in their game against Philadelphia.
To be clear, there were a few considerations we found scary.
Zach Wheeler is starting for the Mets and is coming off a win but owns a 1-1 record with a steep 7.47 ERA this season. His rough start we are hoping is more of an outlier.
The Mets are 12-4 in Wheeler's last 16 starts and 9-1 in his last 10 starts following a Quality Start in his last appearance. The The 28-year-old Georgia native also boasts a 4-1 career mark with a 3.36 ERA against Philadelphia and a 3-0 record at Citizens Bank Park.
Just be mindful that Cesar Hernandez has brutalized Wheeler to the tune of going 7-for-14 at the plate, although the hurler has flustered Odubel Herrera (1-for-11, four strikeouts), Bryce Harper (5-for-26, 11 strikeouts) and Franco (1-for-7).
Phillies RH Jake Arrieta (2-1, 2.25) overcame one bad inning in his previous start with seven strong ones on Friday, yielding one run on five hits while striking out eight to secure his 100th career win with a 9-1 romp over Miami.
In the end, the line movement versus the action on Philadelphia has us jumping on the Mets.
This one dropped from as high as -133 Philly all the way down to -112 by Wednesday morning.
70% of the action was on the Phillies across the board.
This is an early one, going off just after Noon Eastern Standard Time.
