Indiana enjoys a rich sports betting history with the Colts and top College Football programs like the Hoosiers and Fighting Irish, but perhaps more importantly, this is a state that prospers during the College Basketball betting season.

Lawmakers have mostly advocated for mobile wagering and that language has since been added to the current bill.

A vote could did not happen Tuesday (April 23), and probably needs to by Wednesday.  This will likely be the day this legislative session adjourns.  Officially, they have until the 29th, but the NRA is meeting in Indianapolis Thursday through Sunday.  The event is likely to be attended by many of the state's Republican lawmakers.

Because the Senate bill containing the added language regarding mobile affects revenue, the House must approve certain provisions independently.

Iowa and Tennessee are also looking to legalize some forms of sports betting in the coming weeks.
