And great news residents of Iowa as you'll soon be having sportsbooks hosted from within the state.

Following the US Supreme Court decision to overturn decades of prohibition against sports wagering, Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds has signed a bill into law that establishes a legal way to bet on professional, collegiate and international sporting events.  That bill was signed into law on May 13.

The new law excludes betting on some events, including minor leagues and in-state college team players.

Sports betting is limited to those 21 and older.

Casinos also will contract with online and mobile application vendors to set up bets electronically.  It remains to be seen which sports betting firms will be coming on board.
