BodogLife.com, under intense scrutiny by the US Government, has laid off hundreds of its employees this week, leading to speculation that the online gambling firm will be leaving the US market.

"They have no plans to do so," was the line provided to us by someone within the company.

Bodog has also been slow paying customers and vendors. Gambling911.com was in the process of deciding whether the gambling site would lose its "endorsement" status.

One industry analyst said they might as well just shut down if they are leaving the US market.

"They can't even advertise in Europe. They have no license to do so. And they do not accept Canadians. Nearly all their business is in the US."

One online gambling operator believes Bodog is just trimming back because of processing issues.

Likewise, the Kahnawake Gaming Commission has been denied entry into the European market via advertising.
