The testing period actually started on Monday. Rush Street Interactive developed its platform for both Android and Apple phones, however, the later may be delayed due to iPhone's new policy restrictions on HTML5 coding already imposed on new apps and due to take affect September 3, 2019.
From the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board:
We are beginning three test periods with Parx today through Wednesday. They will run to midnight each day, with today’s beginning at 4:00 pm, Tuesday at 2:00 pm, and Wednesday at noon. If all is good, we would sign off for it to operate 24/7. Beginning at 4:00 today, anyone within the borders of PA can set up an account and participate in live wagering.
The Rush Street Interactive powered sportsbook app will have a leg’s up in the highly sought Pennsylvania gambling market. The state is home to nearly 13 million people.
