Doyle Brunson, Daniel Negreanu Hang in at 2009 WSOPE
Poker icon Doyle Brunson remained in the thick of things at the 2009 World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) in London Tuesday. After dropping out of the top 10, Brunson picked up steam Tuesday afternoon and was in 21st place in terms of chip count.
Another big name poker player, Daniel Negreanu, had the 12th largest number of chips. Negreanu performed well last year at the WSOPE, making the final table.
Another big name among the top 10 - Barry Shulman. He is the father of Jeff Shulman, who made the final table of this year's World Series of Poker, which gets underway in November. The Shulman's run Card Player Magazine and a successful website supplement to the publication.
39 people were still in the running late Tuesday. The remaining 36 will finish in the money. In all likelihood it appears as if Doyle Brunson will be among those finishing in the money.
