While Connecticut now offers state regulated apps, other sites available to those in the state like Bovada and BetOnline typically offer more generous welcome bonus.  More importantly, you can bet on your beloved Huskies (18 and up).

Huskies Favored to win the Big East Championship

UConn was coming in at 2-1 odds to win the 2023 Big East Championship.

The Huskies (25-7) advanced to face top-seeded Marquette in Friday night’s semifinals at Madison Square Garden following a 73-66 win over Providence.

Jordan Hawkins scored 19 points to help lead the No. 11 Huskies to that win.

UConn led by as many as 26 with 12:30 left against the Friars.

“For like 28, 30 minutes, we were the best version of ourselves,” coach Dan Hurley said.

Other Teams Popular in the State

New England Patriots (NFL) - The Patriots continue to struggle since losing Tom Brady.  Mac Jones is no Tom Brady.  It remains to be seen whether he will be starting in 2023.

New York Giants (NFL) - You'll find fans near the New York border and primarily just outside the NYC area.

Red Sox or Yankees? (Major League Baseball) - Yankees fans are primarily found in the Western half of the state and Red Sox in the Eastern half.  The line pretty much comes midway through the state.

Coming into 2023, the Red Sox had the 11th longest odds to win the World Series.

Connecticut State-Regulated Sportsbooks

In 2021, lawmakers passed legislation allowing for sports betting, though the competition is limited to just DraftKings, FanDuel and the less familiar brand Sugar House.  Mobile and retail sportsbooks are available in the state. DraftKings operates a retail sportsbook at Foxwoods Resorts Casino.  FanDuel runs a sportsbook at the Mohegan Sun.

State-regulated books do not permit those under the age of 21 to place bets.  Wagering is only available on sports.

Betting on horses is prohibited at these websites.  Another great reason to play at BetOnline with its top race book.

Connecticut sports betting revenue is taxed at 13.75% for these websites.
