Football is Back With a Bang for Books: Canes Cover Proves Big

While the Miami Hurricanes failed to win the first game of the 2019 college football season versus the Florida Gators, they somehow managed to cover the spread.  Both the Canes and Gators conference odds should be much longer after this weekend.

Dave Mason of BetOnline tweeted ahead of that game:

Several of the comments on Twitter suggested the Gators were doing everything possible to lose.

Feleipe Franks was clutch one minute and confused the next, showing the kind of inconsistency that got him benched five times in two years.

Franks made up for three inexcusable turnovers by accounting for three touchdowns, doing just enough to help the eighth-ranked Gators beat rival Miami 24-20 Saturday night in a wild and wacky opening game of the college football season.

"Last five minutes of the game, I aged 10 years," Florida coach Dan Mullen said. "That was exhausting."

Franks two interceptions in the fourth quarter were both horribly inaccurate passes, ensuring a cover by the Canes.

.....Football is back, so prepare to see tons of gridiron “Royal Key” episodes this fall. Their first stop found them in Coral Gables, home of The U, just prior to Saturday night's big "win" for the books.  Check out the Canes’ impressive facility and their adidas apparel.
