Minnesota Vikings: 95 Percent of Bettors Back Team

The Minnesota Vikings, who currently pay $1200 for every $100 bet to win the 2010 Super Bowl at SBG Global, were the single most backed team by sports bettors this week in their game against the lowly St. Louis Rams.  Still, the line hasn't even moved since opening at Vikings -10.

"The oddsmakers have a strong opinion on this game apparently," observes Don Shapiro of Gambling911.com.  "They are not trying to get any of the action to go St. Louis' way for a reason.  If the Rams cover, the bookies make out like bandits."

But what are the chances of the Rams actually covering in this one at home?

Since 2000, the Rams are 4-1 against Minnesota.  They also won their three games at home over this period of time.  The Rams though have lost three of their last four games by more than 10 points.  Two games were shutouts.  That being said, the Rams have only played one game at home so far this season.  They lost at home to Green Bay.

The Vikings are 4-9 ATS in their last 13 vs. NFC.

The Vikings are 4-11 ATS in their last 15 games following a S.U. win.

The Vikings are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games following a ATS win.

Following a dramatic win against San Francisco and an emotional victory over Green Bay, this game against winless St. Louis would seem to present a classic letdown scenario to Minnesota. The Vikings can demonstrate a lot of maturity by jumping on the Rams early.

While the Rams have hardly been a defensive juggernaut, they have shown considerable progress under coach Steve Spagnuolo. Led by rookie James Laurinaitis, the unit has flashed promise at times and its place as the 19th-ranked defense is deceiving given the difficult situations St. Louis' offense has repeatedly put the defense in.

Kyle Boller was expected to start for the Rams this week.

We here at Gambling911.com will be riding this one out with the bookies and taking the St. Louis Rams at +10.  It's a tough pill to swallow but we say the Rams manage a cover here.

Browns vs. Steelers PPH Sportsbook Prop Bets - Thursday Night Football

While Gambling911.com has been bullish on the Browns over the past two weeks, action was balanced on this one with the line only moving up a half point over the course of the week, making this game less attractive in terms of a glaring "must bet" situation.
