Don't look now but the Dallas Cowboys are the new favorites to win the 2009 Super Bowl...well, almost. The New England Patriots had odds of +305, the Dallas Cowboys had odds of +350. Any slight fluctuations in betting action will - and probably already has - made the Cowboys favorites.

The Dallas Cowboys 2008 regular season wins total odds remained listed at 10 ½ games with the over the -145 favorite at Betonline.com. Winning under 10 1/ 2 games would pay $115 for every $100 bet. These numbers haven't changed.

One of the big questions lingering over this Dallas team: Will Pacman Jones be reinstated?

The still-suspended cornerback can play in the pre-season for the Dallas Cowboys. The player was previously with the Tennessee Titans where his off-the-field conduct got him suspended.

James Alder of About.com believes the Cowboys have a shot at duplicating last year, though it's going to be mighty difficult.

On paper, the Cowboys look as good as any team in the league, and that should translate into a lot of wins again this year. Thirteen wins is tough to duplicate, but I can see Dallas posting a 12-4 season and repeating as division champs as well as making a deep run in the playoffs.

AOL Fanhouse calls the Dallas Cowboys offensive line "The Best in the League".

They sent three starters to the Pro Bowl (Flozell Adams, Leonard Davis, Andre Gurode) while Marc Columbo and Kyle Kosier were more than solid. The heart and soul of this offense, they also have some nice young, talented backups in the wings.

The big problem for Dallas, however, is that they play in the best division in the league. The Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants both had 17/1 odds of winning the 2009 Super Bowl (listed as +1700). The Washington Redskins had +2500 odds. These are still favorable odds for all the teams in this division.
