Most living in Colorado probably have never heard of PointsBet.  That's about to change as the Australian firm has earmarked the Centennial State as its primary hub.

PointsBet does operate in New Jersey already but has to compete for a mere 30% of the market share not owned by the combo of FanDuel and Draftkings. The company has also established itself in Iowa, a state with 2.5x less the population of New Jersey and likely more sports betting companies operating there when all is said and done.

Colorado residents narrowly voted for the legalization of sports gambling with retail books to operate out of three exisiting towns.  Mobile access will be available within the state's borders.

"The PointsBet team is excited to join the great state of Colorado in establishing a new, Denver headquarters," noted Johnny Aitken, PointsBet USA's Chief Executive Officer in a statement released over the summer. "It's a sports-loving, tech hub that is also in a great location for us strategically. We can't wait to have a presence in the area and have access to some of the best and brightest minds as we continue to grow."

PointsBet has already entered into a partnership arrangement with Colorado's Double Eagle Hotel and Casino.
