NBA Best Bets - January 10, 2020
From top to bottom are teams that have the best chance of winning or covering the spread based on recent trends for Friday January 10, 2020.
|
- Brooklyn Nets +3.5: 87% of the early spread action is on Miami and the line has only moved a half point from 3 to 3.5. Brooklyn has either won or covered the current 3.5 spread in six of the last eight but are on a 7-game losing streak. To us this one has "TRAP" written all over it. Bovada has moved the line to 4. We are not seeing that with most books however. W
- Orlando Magic +3: They have covered in the last five games played in Phoenix and have won the last six Straight Up versus the Suns. L
- Milwaukee Bucks -380 W
TODAY'S RECORD: 201
OVERALL RECORD: 14-8 63.6%
We split last night as the Celtics continue to come unraveled. They have lost three straight and we have serious doubts they will enter a 4-game slide.
Hot and reliable teams in the East right now include the Bucks and Heat, both topping their conference and having won 8 of their last 10.
The Nets are really taking a hit with a 7-game losing streak. We would look for Brooklyn to play their next game close. They happen to be a +3.5 underdog at home against Miami. The Heat are 9-3 Against The Spread in the last 12 meetings in Brooklyn.
In the last eight meetings, Brooklyn has either won or covered the current 3.5 spread in six of the last eight, making for a small play on Brooklyn to cover Friday.
Indiana Pacers -140: They have won the last six versus Chicago. We would prefer the Bulls were not in desperation mode here looking to avert a six-game slide and Pacers are playing too inconsistenty of late for our tastes.
