NFL Week 7: Lopsided Betting Could Spell Trouble

An early review of NFL Week 7 games suggests there is plenty of lopsided action taking place with a number of games on the slate.

At least 8 games featured a team getting around 90 percent or more of the betting action in fact.  Many of these were big road favorites.   This is a result of an unusually large number of lopsided matchups.

The San Diego Chargers were widely anticipated to bounce back from their home loss to Denver with a 5 point or better win in Kansas City.  The Chiefs finally won a game last weekend.

The Green Bay Packers were getting nearly 100 percent of the betting action vs. the Cleveland Browns as a 7 point road favorite.

The Indianapolis Colts were listed with -13 ½ odds and getting nearly all the betting action versus the St. Louis Rams early on so Gambling911.com anticipates this line moving beyond -14 at many of the online sportsbooks when all is said and done.

Likewise, the New England Patriots were -15 favorites on the road in St. Louis and getting around 95 percent of the betting action.

The New Orleans Saints were getting almost all the betting action as -6 ½ favorites in Miami.  This number may be seen as unusually low all things considered.

The Atlanta Falcons were a +4 underdog in Dallas and one of the few dogs getting heavy action.  In this case the Falcons were getting around 90 percent of the volume.

And on Monday night,  the Eagles were getting around 95 percent of the volume on the road against Washington as a -7 favorite.
