On Monday, the Legislature’s General Affairs Committee in Nebraska discussed three bills that would expand gambling in the state of Nebraska. According to the Omaha-World Herald, Osborne and former Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Rodgers were among those who criticized the bills.
One proponent of expanded gambling — including sports betting — was State Senator Justin Wayne. He believes Nebraskans are already gambling. They just aren’t doing it within the borders of the state and instead taking their money to neighboring states like Iowa.
