Officially, Colorado sports wagering is set to begin May 1 even though there are few sports to bet on outside of Russian table tennis, some horse races and a ton of futures.
Some 17 apps have been given the green light to take bets from anywhere within Colorado's borders.

Colorado voters narrowly approved a measure allow sports gambling in the state. While mobile and online wagering will be allowed from anywhere within Colorado, in-person bets can only be taken at a handful of established casino venues.
Bookies and Pay Per Head agents in the state will likely continue to thrive as none of the licensed betting firms are permitted to extend credit.
