Donald Cerrone vs Anthony Pettis is scheduled to take place in Jacksonville on May 9 as part of the UFC 249 card. It is a welcome return for the sports world that has mostly been silenced these past two months due to the coronavirus. Cerrone was coming in at +126 and Pettis -146 at BetOnline.

Cerrone, 37, has lost his last three fights to knockout, most recently against Conor McGregor on Jan. 18, 2020.
Cerrone has suffered 14 losses during his 14-year career, but losing to Conor McGregor he said was most painful.
"Usually, I get right back in there," he says. "This one, I didn't. I just kind of sat in self-pity."
"Donald showed up; Cowboy wasn't there," Cerrone says. "The wrong guy showed up. I couldn't get going, couldn't get excited, couldn't get fired up. I didn't want to be there. Biggest fight, all of the attention, my time to shine, and I didn't want to be there. It was crazy. I don't know why. I don't know how. I don't know how to change it.
"Two days before the fight [I knew] ... I can't put words on it. It's like being somewhere you don't want to be, man. It's like being in a spelling contest and you can't spell."
Pettis lost to Diego Ferreira, by submission, in his most recent fight on Jan. 18, 2020.
It is estimated that UFC 249 generates somewhere between 125,000 and 175,000 pay-per-view buys.
