2020 World Series Odds

The Rays will pay out $1800 for every $100 bet to win the 2020 World Series.

Could Thrive in a 60-Game Structure

Why the Rays? Given the increased importance of every game in a shortened season, strong bullpens will be more vital than ever. Year after year, the Rays find ways to pluck great relievers seemingly out of thin air, and I expect 2020 will be no different. -- Joon Lee, ESPN.com

The Tampa Bay Rays are stacked with talent from the farm system to the big leages -- Seth Carter, FanSided

The Rays never seem to get a lot of respect in betting markets. My theory is that Tampa Bay not a team with a large fanbase, so it doesn't have a solid foundation of fans betting to decrease their price. But that's fine with me because it allows the rest of us to take advantage. The first thing any team has to do to win the World Series is reach the postseason. Well, the Rays did that in 2019, winning 96 games. It was their first time reaching the postseason since 2013, but in 2018 they won 90 games. That team was the first since the 2013 Texas Rangers to win 90 games and miss the playoffs. The last team to have it happen to them before then was the 2012 Tampa Bay Rays. While the Rays might not have the national name recognition, they're a good team with an excellent chance of reaching the playoffs. So getting 18-1 on them to win it all provides some value. -- Tom Fornelli, CBS Sports
