Peters is an institution on the blindside in Philadelphia, but he is being brought back to man right guard following the season-ending loss of Brandon Brooks to a torn Achilles' tendon. He also offers a backup plan on second-year pro Andre Dillard at left tackle. Per Peters' agent, he waited out other offers to return to Philadelphia. The fact that he was willing to sign as a guard suggests this is actually true.
Peters has been selected to nine Pro Bowls in his career, fifth-most in the NFL since the 2007 season.
