Online poker website UltimateBet.com ("UB") and the Starlight Children's Foundation, in conjunction with C3 Events, are gearing up for the inaugural UltimateBet Starlight Poker Challenge. With just a week out from the first ‘shuffle up and deal' on November 14th, poker players with a heart still have time to deal themselves in on the six-day Montreal poker marathon, and all in the name of a great cause.

The internationally televised charity poker event, headlined by UB Pro players Phil Hellmuth and Annie Duke, will take place November 14th-18th at the historic Gare Windsor (Windsor Station) in Montreal, where up to 1,000 Texas Hold ‘em fans will pony up the $500 buy-in for a shot at the guaranteed  $100,000 1st prize payout.

The high profile fundraiser will benefit the Starlight Children's Foundation of Canada, with the proceeds used directly to support the Great Escapes program, a weekly outing that hosts seriously ill children and their families with the intention of giving them quality time together in a fun and relaxed environment.

"Montreal is one of my favorite cities and I can't wait to head north to play a little poker for a really great cause," said Phil Hellmuth. "It's events like UB Starlight that make every hand dealt feel like a winning one, no matter what happens."

The tournament has a basic buy-in of $500 which gets a player 10,000 in chips, or the $750 VIP package includes the tournament buy-in with a 20,000 start bank, plus exclusive access to the November 14th poker training boot-camp hosted by Phil and Annie, where they will meet and greet players and give tips and advice on the game.

The top ten players earn a seat at the final table, to be played out at Snakes poker room  in Montreal. The 6 days of charity poker play will be filmed for international telecast on Rogers Sportsnet, the Players Network, Comcast and RDS.

Tickets can still be purchased on the website www.ubstarlight.com or by calling 514-282-9292, X233.
