Former Republican Congressman Ron Paul suffered an apparent stroke while appearing on a live stream.  Many may find the video below disturbing.

Paul has since been hospitalized for "precautionary" reasons, Fox News has learned.

Paul, 85, was speaking about the free market during a livestream on his YouTube channel when his speech began to slur earlier in the day.

Paul was at the forefront of efforts to legalize online gambling in the US, having co-sponsored a bill with Democrat Barney Frank while in office.

The former Congressman is the father of Kentucky Senator Rand Paul.

This story is developing.
