Tyson-Jones Jr Fight Likely to be Among the Most Trafficked Sports Betting Events of 2020

The Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones, Jr. fight could be one for the record books when all is said and done.   Mike Tyson was coming in as the -200 favorite overnight Friday while Jones, Jr. pays upwards of $175 on a $100 bet.

Traffic searches pretaining to the fight coming to the Gambling911.com website are the most since pre-pandemic.

Bars across the USA - those allowed to open - will likely be packed as establishments have been charging upwards of $600 to watch.

Method of Victory odds have Tyson by Decision paying $33 for every $10 bet, KO -120, Jones Jr. by Decision paying $30, KO paying $41 for every $10 bet.  The draw pays $60 for every $10 bet.

54-year-old Tyson hasn't been in the ring since 2005.  Jones, 51, is a former champion in four weight classes and last fought in 2018.

Few books are offering a full betting slate though nearly all have their lines featured on the SBR odds feed.  The reason for this is that the fight is considered an "exhibition".

Rules pertaining to exhibition fights:

“Winner must be announced at venue for action. If no winner is announced for any reason, all wagers will be settled no action regardless of how the fight ended or any judges scores.”

The undercard kicks off at 9 pm ET from Los Angeles.
