While the online bookmakers needed the Indianapolis Colts to lose against Baltimore to enjoy a successful day, other games managed to go the bookies way including Pittsburgh's shock loss to Kansas City and the Giants failed cover.

The Colts at -1 ½ were the most bet on team of the day and managed to cover by 2 points.  A few books moved the line down to a pick.

Pittsburgh's loss did manage to help the books and, in all likelihood, they were going to end up showing a profit when all was said and done.  The Steelers were a strong second big bet for the gambling public while the Giants at -7 were also getting plenty of action.

The Vikings went the way of the gamblers with their big win over Seattle while, at press time, New England was beating the New York Jets and had plenty of backing from the betting public:  80 percent at game time.

Perhaps the most bet on team of the week will end up being Philadelphia as a -3 road favorite in Chicago.  85 percent of the backing was on the Eagles.
