Americas Cardroom Introduces New Pros.. Including the Popular Ebony Kenney

Americas Cardroom has introduced a handful of new pros (also known as "brand ambassadors").

The popular online poker room, one of the largest in the world, welcomed Drew Gonzalez, Jon Pardy and Ebony Kenney to the fold.

Best known for winning Big Brother Canada Season 2, Pardy actually credits a fellow reality TV contestant for getting him into the game of poker and the world of streaming.

The Newfoundland native, who now calls British Columbia home, aspired to play hockey for as long as he can remember. Although an unfortunate injury disrupted his dreams, we’re glad he’s pivoted to poker.

Kenney joined the Americas Cardroom team in late 2020. The well-known poker pro has racked up close to $300,000 in live earnings, including $34,637 for finishing first in a $235 Rio Deepstack event back in 2017.

"While Ebony’s winning track record at live poker rooms dates back to 2007, these days she’s renowned for her online presence. You can find her at our tables under the screenname CinnamonPardy or tune into her Twitch channel.  Although she’s only been streaming since late 2019, she’s amassed a huge following.  If you watch her in action for even a few minutes, it will be obvious why.

"Ebony is more than just a professional poker player and coach.  In fact, her talents and professional accomplishments are as varied as they are impressive. The modern-day renaissance woman is an author, dating and confidence coach, social media personality, model, self-described pleasure engineer, mother, and the CEO and founder of UncagedCollective.com.  Is there anything she can’t do?"

Drew Gonzalez joined the Americas Cardroom team in late 2020. He was a self-described “recreational player” until 2010 when he quit his job and started playing poker full-time.

The North Carolina native has over $1 Million in online earnings. His live earnings are more modest, however in 2019 he did win the Run It Up Reno IX $175 Moneymaker Tour event.

Gonzalez bested a field of 428 players, earning a $30,000 all-inclusive package to the 2020 PokerStars Players No Limit Championship in Barcelona. That event has been rescheduled to 2021 due to Covid. Gonzalez got his big break when he was selected as one of several hosts for Bill Perkins’ Thirst Lounge on Twitch. He was able to build his bankroll thanks to several challenges Perkins laid out for his hosts. It also gave him instant exposure within the poker playing community.
