After seven weeks of limited intrigue, the 2009 season finally is poised to provide some BCS drama, writes Brad Edwards of ESPN.com.

Alabama or Florida will win the SEC and secure a spot in the Citi BCS National Championship Game.

From ESPN.com:

"If Alabama beats Florida for the SEC title, don't ignore the possibility that some voters might not drop the Gators out of the top two. Florida also might not fall past third in any of the computers. If that happens, it's not unrealistic to think Florida could finish second in the BCS standings behind Alabama."

Alabama is 3-2 over the last 5 in this series, however, Florida has had statement wins over the last two by more than double digits.  The Gators were much bigger favorites in both those games.

Some important Florida Gators vs. Alabama Crimson Tide odds trends to consider before wagering on this game include:

The Gators are 11-2 ATS in their last 13 games after accumulating more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game.

The Gators are 20-6 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.

The Gators are 10-3 ATS in their last 13 games following a SU win of more than 20 points.

The Gators are 14-5 ATS in their last 19 games following a S.U. win.

The Crimson Tide are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 conference games.
